Karl’s POV
“What do you want, Flavin?” I barked.
“I’m sorry. Did I interrupt a serious conversation between you two?” she said sarcastically. “I just thought it was time to make dinner for the house since some people are too selfish to think about others.”
“If you are referring to Avery, you better take back what you said. You have no clue of who she is nor have a little bit of an idea of her as a person,” I defended, causing Flavin to break into a laughing fit.
“Seriously, Karl? You’re defending her now?! How pathetic, you choose to side with some absolute stranger,” Flavin spoke, spitting out venom in every word she spoke.
“You are not my mate,” I barked, causing her to flinch slightly, stepping away. “The only reason I decided to go through this nonsense is because of my father, and if you think I have even the slightest bit of emotion towards you, you’re mistaken. Now either you shut up and mind your business, or you might as well walk out that door
