Chapter 26. Getting in Line

** NANCY’S APARTMENT **

Nancy races up and down out of frustration. Rick hasn’t been picking up his calls. It’s past 2 in the morning. She has been trying to get hold of him to know if he’s okay.

After trying his number one more time, she slammed the phone on her leather couch out of frustration. She continued pacing up and down.

Her brother was already fast asleep and care less about Rick even though he saw him negotiating his release. Because of Matt, Nancy left Rick out there, not knowing where he was or what Fur might have done to him.

She’s left with an option to call the police but then thought to herself what she would tell the police. ‘They won’t believe me if I told them my boyfriend was taken by a vampire after the vampire threatened to kill my brother.’ Her thoughts went wild. She couldn’t make up her mind.
