Chapter 44

Stanley was exhausted when he arrived home because Maureen had taken him everywhere. He couldn’t do anything since the photos the woman kept were being used to blackmail him.

When Stanley entered the house, he saw Heather in the living room playing with her dolls. When she sensed his presence, the kid turned to look at him, and he was about to come closer to his daughter. Heather quickly ran towards the back of the couch and hid, as if she was afraid of her because he had yelled at his daughter the other day.

“Baby? Come here. Listen to me, please? You know, I’m sorry about what happened the other day. Daddy is just tired, please understand,” Stanley apologized to Heather, causing the latter to gradually approach him.
