Chapter 9
Stanley had a joyful aura all over him as he entered the company. His employees had also noticed it as he was giving everyone who came his way a good morning smile. Upon arriving at his office, he opened the suitcase he was carrying to see a zip lock bag inside it. It was a lunch Maxine had prepared for him. With a smile on his face, he read the note in it saying, ‘Have a nice day, Hon. I love you. —M.’ It immediately made his day complete.
That day went by like a typical busy day in his company. Everyone minded their own businesses, trying to meet the deadlines. But in the middle of hustle, meetings, and reports, Stanley’s secretary barged into his office, flustered and terrified.
“What’s wrong?” He asked, confused.
“Mr. Robbins, there was a woman outside saying that she was your wife.” She answered.
