Kylian's POV

I sat at the dining table in Rojas' home, trying to keep a polite smile on my face as I glanced across at Reina, who was sitting beside Rojas. She looked stunning, as always, but my heart clenched with a mix of anger and frustration. I hated the fact that she was here, engaged to Rojas. I hated the fact that I was engaged to Macy, Rojas' foster child. It would make Reina and me family, and I despised that thought. I couldn't bear the thoughts of it neither could I bring mys ears to listen.

Rojas noticed the tension between Reina and me, and he tried to diffuse it with his usual charm. "Kylian, Reina, I'm so glad you could join us tonight," he said, raising his glass in a toast. "Here's to a successful partnership between our companies."

I forced a smile and raised my glass in response. "Cheers," I said, trying to push aside the resentment that was gnawing at me.
