I quickly wrapped up my work before lunch, feeling the familiar rush of stress as the deadline approached. My office was close to Kylian's, and we often crossed paths during the workday.
Just as I was about to head out for lunch, I saw Kylian walking out of his office with two other directors in tow. My heart skipped a beat as his gaze met mine.
"What are you up to, Reina?" Kylian asked, his tone sharp and demanding.
"I was just heading out for lunch," I replied, trying to keep my composure despite the tension in the air.
Kylian frowned, his eyes narrowing as he looked at me.
"The documents I asked for earlier," he said, his voice icy. "Where are they?"
I was taken aback. I had already given him the documents he had requested earlier, and I had made sure to double-check and confirm that he had received them. But before I could say anything, Kylian's secretary, Leah grabbed the documents from his desk and gave to Kylian.
