Chapter 7
I opened my eyes, and I was still at the hospital. The nurse was checking my purse, breathing a sigh of relief as she held my hands.
"You should take care of yourself for your child's sake. Your pregnancy seems to be delicate. You were fine a few hours ago. Don't go running around like that; out your child first and eat well." Her eyes welled up as she tried to encourage me.
I released my hands from hers and turned to the other side of the bed. My mother was lying on the bench close to where I was.
I couldn't help the rage that was suddenly growing inside me; at every thought of Garrett, I could feel my heart burning for revenge.
His fake promises reverberated in my ears. They were all lies.
The number if times he told me he loved me were all lies. Every word he ever said to me-all a lies.
