Lily’s heart raced in her chest as they made their way to the principal’s office. Though she was a teacher, she couldn’t help but feel as if she were in trouble. She prayed that she wasn’t being called to the office for the reason she was suspecting.

“Hold all my calls,” Allen said to his secretary as they entered the office.

Allen directed her into his office and closed the door behind him. Then with a weary sigh he took his seat behind his large desk.

“What’s this about, sir?” she asked, trying to keep her voice calm and even.

“Well, as it happens, there is a rumor floating around the school. Are you familiar with the one I am referring too?”

She nodded. “One of the kids in my class felt so inclined to inform me.”

He nodded. “Well, there is a picture that is floating about. It was mailed to all the faculty this morning.”
