He led her through a complicated maze of racks and huge machines until they got to a tiny corner of the shop that held a desk, topped with a simple computer and flanked by two filing cabinets. Immediately, Cheyanne went to the filing cabinets and started pulling out folders. “Everything’s in perfect order,” she said. “We can pull the employment records. What’s the plaintiff’s name?”
With that, they got to work, finding any information they could to support that the Dunns didn’t discriminate against their employees. They found an employee record indicating that for several years they had employed a single mother, allowing her to be flexible with her hours to take care of her small kids. They had also employed a disabled man, providing him with special seating and everything else he needed to do his job. Cheyanne also got names and numbers for some of the other employees so that she could contact them for statements.
