Chapter 5
***
The next day, no one had to worry about what to wear because the school gave everyone a uniform. The men wore plain navy suits. The girls wore a blue plaid skirt, a white button-down shirt, and a navy blue blazer. I put on a pair of white knee-high socks and a pair of Mary Jane shoes with heels.
I put mousse in my hair to help it curl better, and then I put on my eyeliner, mascara, and rose gold lip gloss.
With just a quick glance in the mirror, I was ready to go.
Rachel went into a battle stance when my bedroom door flew open. Sophia ran into the room yelling "GOOD MORNING" as loud as she could. In her school uniform, she looks pretty good.
Rachel sneered, "Don't ever do that again." "I could have hurt you very badly."
"I feel terrible, Rachel. "I didn't think," Sophia said with a sheepish look on her face. "I was so happy to go back to school today. LET THE SEARCH BEGIN!"
"YOUR SEARCH ALMOST CAME TO AN END! Rachel said, "I think you should be more careful in the future." Do we know anything about the Alphas?"
"Not yet," I said feeling nervous. "I guess we should find a friend at school. "First thing to do."
"Why do you make everything sound like it's a military operation?" Sofia asked, looking amused.
"I just like things to go smoothly and in an orderly way," I said as a defense.
"Love is neither smooth nor organized. Is that what you are looking for?" Asked Rachel.
"Yes! Just like my parents, I want to love and be loved. Also, it wouldn't hurt if he was hot," I said with excitement. "This is the right spot. I can just feel it. He is here."
"We better get going if we don't want to be late," Rachel said, grabbing her blazer.
We all went to school after a quick breakfast. Warren was in the passenger seat while Lucas was behind the wheel. I sat between Gabriella and Sophia, and Simon and Rachel sat in the back.
It's a huge school. I'm having trouble figuring out how to get around the whole campus. School started right at eight o'clock. We got there at 7:30, parked, and then went to the school.
"A student named Scott is supposed to give us a tour," said Simon. "He's supposed to meet us out in front."
"There he is," said Warren, pointing to the only person who was looking around. He was short, and his hair was wild. He seemed nice enough.
"Scott, I presume. "Hi, I'm Warren."
"Hi Warren, it's nice to meet you. My name is Brett, not Scott. He's with the high and tight over there."
Brett, thank you. Simon said, "Guess we'll see you around," and we walked over to Scott.
"Oh, new students, are you ready for your tour?" Scott asked with a big grin on his face.
He was about 6 feet 3 inches tall. He got a very short cut on his blonde hair. His eyes are hazel brown. His uniform makes it easy to see that he is in good shape. "I am Scott Jacobson, the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack."
Sophia started to elbow me, so I hit her arm to tell her to stop.
"Blue Moon packs? Gabriella's eyebrows moved as she said, "That sounds romantic."
"That was the idea," said Scott. "Now, all we think about is how rare it is. We do have some unique skills."
Lucas said, "I didn't think they were real Alphas at the school." "Only Alphas in the future."
Scott said with a sad face, "My father died of cancer over the summer."
"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that," I replied. Everybody agreed with what I said.
"It didn't come as a shock. For a long time, he had been sick. Mom made me finish school before I could take over as Alpha. "This will be my last year."
"This is also our last year. "Because of how you train, we thought this was the best school in the area," Rachel said, giving our cover story.
Scott said, "I did wonder why so many students were coming from all over the country to attend our school." "Nothing else is like our training program. You'll really like it. Well, I'll show you around."
The tour included three classrooms, a cafeteria, and a coffee shop, as well as three training buildings, two swimming pools, three dorms, and the administrative offices. It would be hard to get around the school, but I would be up for the challenge.
After getting our class schedules, we went to our first class, which was about music.
-----
We shared lunch in the cafeteria with Scott, who joined us and sat between Simon and me.
Scott said as he looked at my schedule, "I think you guys are in my History and Physics classes." "Oh, look, we're also going to training together."
I had to agree that Scott smelled great. I'm curious about what kind of perfume he was wearing. Wait, wasn't smell related to finding a mate? I got a good whiff of him, and then he gave himself a sniff and gave me a strange look.
"What, do I smell something or something?" He asked.
"No. Sorry. I think I just liked your perfume," I said in a shy way. "What's that?"
"Soap and water?"
"Wow. "That's embarrassing!" said Sofia, making me redden.
"Don't worry about it," Scott said with a smile. "You have a nice smell too." He came close to me and gave me a big sniff.
I laughed out loud at that. I liked Scott. He seemed to be in a good mood.
"Now come sniff me, Scott," Gabriella said, putting out her neck.
"I'll get you later," Scott said as he took a bite of his sandwich. Gabrielle pouted cutely, and I rolled my eyes.
"Who is responsible for training?" Rachel asked as she chewed on an apple.
Scott said, "Usually, Alpha Viktor is in charge of our training, but since he's not here, I guess Alpha Lucien will step in."
Rachel asked, "Do you train as a person or do you shift?"
"Both. I couldn't show you everything because we didn't have enough time. When we shift, we train on the other side of the dorms," Scott said as he opened a bag of chips. "Everything is done in a certain order. You'll learn to live with it. Every day, someone trains in some way. It's sort of what we do."
"That's why we came here," Simon explained.
"Hey, you new kids, how'
s it going?" Asked Brett, walking over to our table.
