The growl outside turned into an explosion of noise—screeches, snarls, and the unmistakable sound of something clawing its way into our world. My wolf surged forward, adrenaline rushing through me as I ran to the window. Outside, the pack courtyard had become a battlefield.

The "doorway," as Luna Tilly called it, burned with an unholy light, a swirling mass of black and crimson that seemed alive. Demons poured out of it—monstrous creatures with jagged limbs and glowing red disgusting eyes.
