Chapter 18. New School
“Beep, beep, beep,” blared the alarm clock by the bedside, Queen couldn’t stand the noise, so she drowsily turned and swatted the alarm clock to the floor and it stopped blaring.
“That’s so much better,” she murmured.
Davies stood by the doorway watching all actions, he shook his head. “It’s a school day, rise ‘n’ shine sleeping beauty, except you want to run after the bus as your life depends on it,” he commented.
Queen sits up and looks directly at Davies, her hair sticking out in all corners. “What are you doing in my mum’s room? Go to one corner and wait till I wake up from my dream,” she said, then heads back under the cover.
Davies looked at her in disbelief. “You’re not serious.” He walked up to her, pulled the blanket back, and pinched her on the cheeks. “Is it a dream now?” he asked, not giving her space to retaliate.
