Chapter 37. Sandra
The party was in its early highlights of the evening, Sandra went around helping to serve drinks and snacks. She got to the kitchen, not seeing where she was going, she bumped into someone and drinks poured on her blouse with the cups breaking.
“I’m so sorry,” Sandra quickly bent down to pick up the glass shards and she cut her hand.
The other person saw this, “Leave it, I’ll handle it.”
“Thank you.” Sandra stood up and left to rinse her hand on the tap. She found band-aids and plastered them on the part that was cut. She stepped out through the back door of the kitchen to clear her head and think.
Sandra brought a cigarette from her pocket with a lighter and lit it. The last time she smoked was the day she found out she was pregnant with Davies.
