Chapter 8. Re-election (2)
Both mother and daughter were lost in their world when a knock came through on the door.
“Hey neighbor, just checking up on you,” joked Sandra after peering through the door.
“Sure, we’re alright. Queen can’t stop fawning over the house,” Olivia said, making small talk with Sandra.
Queen felt heat creeping up her cheeks. Davies stood there in the hallway and took a peek at Sandra. He made a kissy face, which made Queen blush.
She turned her face, smiling sheepishly as she remembered she needed a shower. Excusing herself quietly, she ran into the nearest room that looked like hers and closed the door.
“He saw me like this,” Queen groaned, diving straight for the bed.
“What am I bothered about? It’s not like I’m the only one who hasn’t had a shower yet. He hasn’t had his. What’s there to be ashamed about? He’s my boyfriend, and one day, he’s going to have to get used to seeing me on days I haven’t showered.” She sat up and blew a strand of hair f
