Chapter 7. Re-Election (1)
Sunlight streamed through the glass windows of the house, waking Olivia up. Everyone slept in the living room last night, not bothered about sleeping in the rooms. They had let go after the entire journey, and it was a new day in their new home.
Olivia took a deep breath. She loved the smell of fresh air filled with pine cones; her wolf was itching to go into the woods and stretch out, but she couldn’t afford the slip-up. She needed to lead by example. Stretching her sore limbs, she got up from the chair and carefully found her way through the maze of bodies that were just getting up on her way to the kitchen.
She opened the cupboards and brought out the instant-mix pancake flour. She turned it in a bowl, mixed it with water and a bowl of cracked eggs, and took out the butter and bacon from the fridge.
