Five weeks. Three days. Ten hours.

Five weeks since my entire life changed in an instant. Since my mate had been kidnapped by enforcers from her family’s pack and I’d been forcibly knocked out and taken to Moonstone with Iris in tow, whisked away into the mountains and as far away from the epicenter of our chaotic battle as possible.

Despite my injuries long since faded and healed, the scars in my mind still remain. Of Iris’s tear-stained face when Koen and I finally tracked her and Ainsley’s scent to that alleyway, of the blood coating her hands from where she’d slammed a metal rod against one of them to try and fend them off before they took Ainsley. Of her cracking voice while she told me Ainsley was gone.
