Chapter 50

Nocturne and I successfully finished all our planning a day early, allowing us a day of rest the day before training started. We were both feeling refreshed after sleeping for most of the day before.

 “I am so glad we were able to get a lazy day in before training started.” Nocturne commented as she used her magic to put on simple training garbs. It looked just like the first outfit I saw her in. Tight, brown leather pants with simple black boots, and a white tunic top. She noticed me looking at her after she was dressed. “Like what you see?” She teased.

 “No-I mean yes! I just…you look like you did the first time I saw you, at the king’s castle.” I told her.

 “Oh, you’re just feeling nostalgic then?” She smiled.

 “Yes…it feels like an eternity has passed since then.” I sighed.
