Chapter 49
Over the next week, Nocturne and I were pulled in many different directions. We were preparing for an impending war, while also trying to manage the estate and launch our new businesses. I myself was struggling to stay afloat, but Nocturne, I could see she was on the verge of a breakdown.
“How about a break, my lady?” I would constantly try to get her to relax but each time was scolded in response.

I was hoping that Andrew and Sofia had more experience than Nocturne gave them credit for.
“Good evening.” I greeted Andrew when I saw him walking in the corridor that led to the servant’s quarters. He nodded his head at me.
