Chapter 77

Nocturne and I returned to the estate after our brief meeting with Raymond and Kosma. It was now time for some much-earned rest and relaxation. We lounged about for most of the day, just enjoying each other’s company. I did not realize how lost in thought I must have been that day until Nocturne deciding to bring it to my attention as we sat in the dining room eating dinner.

“Are you feeling well today, Albert?” Nocturne asked me suddenly.

“Hm?” I blinked and looked at her in confusion.

“You have not seemed present all day.” She stated. “Are you unwell?” She asked again. I looked at her. Her large golden eyes were filled with genuine concern. It was true I had been thinking about many different things all day, one topic in particular I had been meaning to bring up with her, but not knowing how.
