Chapter 81

Breakfast with Nocturne was rather uneventful. I told her about the gifts and proposals sent to me, and she briefly looked at me with a concerned expression. It was replaced with a relieved one when I told her how I handled everything. Her stress levels were very high no matter what we talked about. I could tell she was having a difficult time focusing on me, and while it made me upset that I was not the center of her attention, I understood she was dealing with a lot at the moment.

 “You are supposed to be meeting with Ris today for your first training session, right?” Nocturne asked.

 “We did not set a day and time yet.” I told her.

 “Then you should go and find him and have a training session today.” She demanded. I scowled at her.

 “If I did not know better, I would think you were trying to get rid of me…” I commented as the servants began to clean up our mess from breakfast.

 “Well, do you?” Nocturne asked with a smirk.
