"Who served this trash to a customer?" She heard the voice of her boss glower, and she stiffened.
She was in the kitchen, ready to take out another order, when she heard him yelling. She clenched her uniform, made up of a white button-down shirt and black pants.
There were other servers there, but her boss blamed her for every damn thing.
She knew he was on her again like he was used to, bullying her to the extreme, knowing she had no choice but to work with what he threw at her.
Maya shut her eyes; she wasn't in the mood for all this today. She wouldn't be in the mood for it any day.
Especially after she had sent Milo to school despite hearing his raspy breathing and knowing an asthma attack could be close and he needed to go to the hospital. But between her and Abby, there was no cash on them for him to see a doctor.
So she sent him off to school, not before telling Zayn and Nico to take care
