Chapter 23
Liana rolled her eyes and took out the lighter. She walked to where he stood with Jay by a counter and slapped the lighter against the counter, the sound of the metal loud as she intended.
“I believe this is yours, Mr. Marlowe,” She said plainly and then stormed out.
Cain scratched his head, undecided. He sighed and went after her but she had walk a bit far from the bar. Good. He needed to talk to her away from the cameras.
Liana was still strutting angrily down the pavement when she felt a strong hold on her wrist. Cain held her and drew her to where he stood. Liana’s already teary eyes widened in surprise. He came after her this time. She couldn’t believe it.
