“Ah… Yeah, that… I don’t even know how I got there. I was just as surprised as you are now when I woke up on his bed…”

“Oh my god, you were on his bed?!” Carrie shrieked in worry before she could stop herself, then she leaned in closer to leaner like there was someone else in the room. “Did you sleep with him again?” She whispered.

“No,” Liana shook her head quickly. “Not that I remember much of last night but I mean I would be able to tell if anything happened. And besides, he wasn’t even there when I woke up.”

“Oh, thank God,” Carrie heaved a sigh of relief.

“He did buy me breakfast though, and some painkillers for my headache and though we just ate in silence, it kinda felt good… Well that was still Steve showed up…” Liana trailed, tone changing the moment she mentioned her ex.

Carrie rolled her eyes, shaking her head with a teasing smile. “So what happened after the police showed up?” She noticed how Liana frowned lightly after she asked that.
