Chapter 44
2 a.m.
The Steel Saints had successfully recovered their money by blocking the Razor Wolves on the road but they didn’t celebrate.
They didn’t get to drink together after because they finished transporting all the money back to the clubhouse. Everyone took a break, all resting till the morning light came up and they had to decide somewhere safer to leave the cash.
They soon decided and broke themselves up through different routes to transfer all the cash. After they had successfully done that, Vic stood over the new storage setup, arms folded, watching the last lock click into place like he didn’t trust it, like he wouldn’t trust anything for a while.
“So who’s keeping the key to the place?” He asked and one of the brothers leaning against his bike asked:
“It’s just one?”
“Yeah. Just one key, no bunch.”
“Cain should hold on to it then. Safest with him…” The man who had asked the question earlier suggested and others nodded.
