Chapter 12. Chemo? (2)
His immediate response to my text made me feel a tingly sensation . The little act made me feel important. I was about to read the message when the doctor’s office door came open and the people in it came out.
“Mom, Dad,” I muttered surprised. What were my parents doing here? How did they get here before me?
“What are you guys doing here?” I blurted my question.
My parents caught my gaze and ignored me.
“Miss Mei,” the doctor called my name and invited me into his office.
I put my phone in my bag and walked into his office. The doctor pointed at a seat, but remained transfixed by the door.
“Why are my parents here?” I asked him curiously. I was more concerned about my parent’s presence than where he wanted to stand.
“They are here for an appointment with you,” he said and on cue, my parents walked in.
I was not going to admit that I wanted them here but I was so happy they were here. I was starting to contemplate my decision of telling
