Chapter 15. Cancer Matchmaking

“Everyone hates me!” I yelled, sat down, and wiped my tears.

I took a berry, gauged everyone’s reaction and ate it.

“These are really nice, you should try some,” I said and offered Lin Fei a blueberry.

He looked at me and then at my parents. “Your daughter is crazy,” he said frantically.

“You dare insult the heir of the Lin family’s wealth?” I asked him.

He looked at me, shock evident in his eyes. He blinked and he looked at me like I had insulted him. He turned to my parents and shook his head, he was probably disappointed. I can’t blame him, I would be disappointed too.

“I am calling off this wedding, I can’t marry someone who is crazy,” he said and stood up abruptly.

He left the dining table without hesitation and didn’t listen to mom and dad’s call.

“Mei,” dad called my name and looked at me sternly before he got up and went after Lin Fei.

“You better have an explanation for this,” mom said and went after them.
