Chapter 17. Scolded
“Where are the cloths?” Mom asked immediately I walked into the house.
“What clothes?” I asked feeling attacked but realized my mistake, immediately. I told Mom earlier that I was going to go get clothes.
“What clothes? I couldn’t pick anything. I am so used to you always being there that I couldn’t decide on my own,” I lied.
Mom looked at me for a quick second and looked away.
“I will have to go back tomorrow, maybe find something I might like,” I said unsure of my excuse.
“Should I come with you?” Mom asked me and I quickly shook my head. “Mei?” She questioned. “Are you okay?” She asked.
“Yeah Mom I am fine,” I said. She looked questioning at me. I was panicking, she was going to know I was lying.
“Mom the reason I couldn’t even decide on what cloths I liked today is because you always decide what I wear. I need to be able to make decisions on my own. I am going to get married soon and I should be able to make decisions on my own without y
