Cara’s POV

Liam’s weakness in front of me was all I needed. I told him that whatever it took, I would have him. I just took a very easy meal, and he should be lucky that I didn’t kill her instead.

I stood for a while, thinking of what to tell the king. If Liam told his father that he had found a wife, all my plans would fail, and I wouldn’t have the option of becoming queen anymore. I kept watching as the king was having a meeting with the other chiefs. I needed to wait for the right time to approach him.
