“Pull yourself together, we’ll find her” Ashley tried to assure me as we walked down the stairs of the building.

“But now we don’t even know where she is” I panicked, placing my hands over my head.

“Let’s just go home, have a bath and then we’ll phone them police, alright” She said calmly, holding onto my arm as we walked down. We had finally gotten home, Ashley walked to the door.

“It’s unlocked” she said in a low tone.

I looked at her in disbelief

“And it’s quite open” she whispered as she opened it, well enough to let ourselves in.

“Don’t make a sound” I mouthed, she nodded in response.

This wasn’t the first time it happened, so we had to tread carefully not to repeat the incident that occurred months ago.

“I can hear something upstairs” she whispers, walking in front of me and up the stairs.
