As I sat in the cafeteria with a mouthful of hamburger, I took the second one, handing it to him as my mouth was too bulged to speak, I didn’t feel a morsel of embarrassment, just yet which only means I was playing a charade in Hailey’s room acting all strong when in fact I was so drained, tired and hungry.

“It’s alright, first have enough to eat” he said, arms folded as he pressed his back into the cafeteria seat with a light smile on his lips.

“More for me” I mumbled, taking a bite out of it after taking a long swallow of the first.

“And you wanted to stay by her side with an empty stomach?” He asked as he watched me munching on the food with so much vigor, I would be surprised if I were him watching me take down the food like a hungry driven tiger.
