“Are you sure about this?” I asked Ashley, whose voice was low on the phone.
“Well… I noticed her doing something out of the ordinary after I stepped out of the room. It’s almost like she still has her memories intact,” she said in a whisper.
It didn’t strike me as something that would be true, but then again, who would’ve thought that the cute, calm Charles Leon could be capable of killing his father and manipulating ways to kill me? And so I couldn’t let this slide.
“Did you tell Ria?” I asked. Knowing her, she would’ve already—and that would be a problem. She would be rigid about this situation, even I could tell.
