Red Streaks replied, and although she sounded very weak, she was alive, and that was enough for me. I closed my mind to her and continued my stroll.

Just then, I saw Serena walk into the throne room, and I was immediately suspicious. I had not figured out who her spy was or who she was working with, so until then, I was on my guard.

Following after her, the guards stationed at the door bowed when they saw me approaching.

“Why did you let her in there?” I asked in raised tones.

They exchanged confused looks and lowered their gaze. The one on the left spoke for the group. “She is the Luna, your Majesty, and we are only common guards. How could we have said no?”
