Chapter 21. The Safe Haven

Julio went to the study room in such a hurry his clothes were inside out, and his hair was unbrushed. When he saw this, he cringed deep inside. Oh no, Nathaniel thought, could there be any more bad news?

In a rush, Nathaniel could not quite comprehend what he was saying. Unbeknownst to him, there was good news ahead. As he told Julio to repeat what he was saying, there was a sense of panic boiling inside of him that he dared not to show.

He composed himself and repeated what he was saying, “Maria, her whereabouts have been found. There will be a rescue as soon as possible.” He sighed with relief; there was such suspense at this moment that he did not know he was holding his breath. “Now, Julio, tell the police to move quickly before Mike, I assume, might suspect something and move her elsewhere.”
