Chapter 24. Dealing with Mixed Emotions

Nathaniel could not help but feel that something bad was about to happen. There were times when he ignored this feeling just to be knocked down by the reality that his inklings were right all along.

He tried to get away from his office at home and looked for Allison. He had not seen her in weeks as he looked for her calling her by her name. "Allison?" he went to her room knocking.

She opened the door and he could not help but marvel at her beauty. "Yes?" she smiled sweetly. She was worried for him after everything that happened. She was also worried about herself and her future because she knew if this happened there would be no wedding proposal and the wedding itself. Not that she imagined herself as a plain housewife or even as mother of his children. Well in fact she just wanted to hide where her thoughts were going. She wanted to be in her best attitude so she stayed positive with all her might, but she was wavering. Wavering between being sad and being joyful.
