Chapter 8. The Kill

Combing the streets for his nemesis, Mike already revised a plan on how to get rid of him. He did not think it would be this easy. He saw Arold coming out of a pub, thoroughly intoxicated.

He grabbed him by the collar and slammed him hard on the pavement. This shook Arold up, and he looked into Mike’s eyes. He saw eyes that were glassy and showed only one emotion - rage. He knew his end was right now. He wished he could beg Mike, but he knew he could not hold off the end of the bargain.

Mike dragged him to the nearest building but decided against it too many witnesses. He pushed Arold into a speeding car, not knowing that he would pull him as well.

Before the car stopped, Arold died from the impact. Meanwhile, Mike was just injured, the emergency was called, and the paramedics came to assess the situation. The police went there as well and, after making statements, deemed this an accident.

Arold was pronounced dead on arrival in the hospital. The doctors w
