Chapter 44. The Rogue is Gone
The forest was silent now, and Rhiannon towered over the limp body of the rogue. The adrenaline that filled her system seconds ago was gone, and she listened to the voice of her wolf.
End it.
Then, she knelt above the monster. Her body shook slightly, and her breath came out a little ragged.
She hovered just around the beast’s chest, then she raised an arm to the air, her sharp claws facing his heart. With one plunge deep enough, she would end its life.
Her memories stirred again, going back to that horrible day she had died. How it had sunk its teeth deep into her neck, eventually ripping off her head. Her final moments had been devastating. Like a ghost feeling, she could still feel the blinding pain that came with it.
