Kaden saw her coming and quietly excused himself to go and stand away from them, giving them privacy.
Rhiannon’s fingers hovered over the Joystick of the electric wheelchair as she rolled down the road, her sight set on her destination.
Her bad arm was cast awkwardly on her lap. Her ribs ached, her head throbbed and she didn’t even want to think of her lap. Her heart raced the closer she got to him, thinking of what to say, thinking about how he would react.
