Chapter 89. A Manipulator
Nathaniel’s POV
She was also very manipulative. She had a serious expression on the whole thing she was talking about.
“Great,” I muttered dryly.
“Nathan, I feel like you’re not focused on the facts here,” Ivy said, crossing her arms. “Instead of picking on these little details, focus on finding her. She wanted to hurt our baby. She hurt him. She must be found and dealt with.”
I nodded and got up. I placed Kael in his cot. “I’ll do everything I can,” I said quietly, then turned and walked away, needing to clear my head.
I got back to my office and asked Ferdinand to ensure Ivy was on a full-day watch while she was here. She was not to be left alone with Kael. If it was absolutely necessary, she was to be watched through the cameras.
“Ferdinand, one more thing,” I said, turning to face him as he started toward the door.
“Yes, sir?” he replied, pausing mid-step.
