Ferdinand’s POV

“Come with me to my office. I want you to show me the missing footage.”

I stood up and followed Nathan until we got to his office. I took out the flash drive in my pocket, and we slot it into his system. I had kept this drive with me for a while, waiting for the right time to use it. And this was the perfect time.

Nathan watched the clips over and over again.

“The hospital Ivy asked Rose to take Kael to is St Grey’s. I made a quick stop at the hospital earlier today, and they confirmed that they hadn’t been called for any bookings for Kael Alastor. In fact, they hadn’t ever attended to the child before.”

“Naturally,” Nathan cut in. “We never use that hospital. It’s not even a private institution. It’s state-owned.”

“Rose was never meant to get to the hospital.”

It was all coming together. It had been perfectly staged. What else would Ivy have gone to talk about that night? The following morning, Rose hurried out of the
