Ferdinand’s POV
If anyone had told me all of the things that had happened recently would have happened, I would have said it was a lie. In all my years, even working for Nathaniel’s father, no one had been kidnapped from the mansion.
No one.
I was a bit shaken up as a result of recent happenings. Ivy had taken over the entire mansion. She said it was because of my carelessness and my lack of tact that Rose almost killed her child. Nathan was a shadow of his former self. Under the reign of Ivy, he didn’t make any contributions to how the house was run. No one said it to me, but I could tell that she was looking for a perfect time to get me out of the mansion.
I focused most of my time on my meetings and on making sure the empire was run smoothly.
