Chapter 232

Joseph's POV 

With an empty bed, I woke up to a thumping heart full of anxiety. I searched Felicity’s side but discovered it was cold. I sat up in the dark room looking for her but she seemed missing. 

My mind was racing with nocuous altercations as I threw off my covers and got out of bed. I tried to check on her in the bathroom, livingroom and even in the kitchen but there was no sign of her at all. 

Through her phone, I tried to reach out to her but it was straight to voicemail. I sent a text too; all in vain as no response came from her. 

Panic slowly engulfed me when I realized she was actually gone. It dawned on me that earlier we had an argument about how dangerous Isklander could be.

 Though I knew she had an attraction towards him, I never thought it would go as far as joining him. When anger mixed with fear struck me down, my legs started shaking and I got dizzy.
