Chapter 148

Alicia and Jason had made up. Jason was open to the idea—so much so that he agreed. He confessed to Alicia that breaking up had been a foolish decision. Since they had reconciled, he stayed an extra night, and they talked about their shared dreams.

“Do I have to go back today?” he asked as they stood in the airport. He had taken the night flight so he could spend a little extra time with her.

“Must you?” she asked, pulling her cutest face. “I will miss you very much,” she said, holding his hands.

He sighed and hung his head. His flight would be boarding soon, and he did not want to leave. “What if I come to Crescent Bay?” she asked, and his head shot up as his eyes lit up like a child offered candy.

“Since we will be moving the headquarters, our staff will need to visit the town for many meetings and such, so I’ll tag along.”
