“Should we stay indoors then?” he whispered into her ear.

“Aren’t we going to get food?”

“Maybe we can order in. I suddenly have the urge to make love to my wife,” he said, his voice deep and low.

She tingled in his hands and pushed her head toward him. She planted a kiss on his cheek. “Let’s order in.”

[It is earlier in the evening, and Xavier comes to pick Jessica up from her restaurant]

“Just give me a minute, and I will wrap all that I am doing, and we can be on our way,” Jessica said, ushering Xavier to one of the restaurant chairs she had received earlier that day.
