Chapter 50

Adam couldn’t help but feel a deep affection for Grace as he read her words. It was like discovering a hidden treasure of her past, a past she had never shared. It made him realize how little he truly knew about the person. The same goes for Faith, too. Faith never mentioned those little nuisance plays of them as she always babbled about how perfect Grace was.

“You surely didn’t want me to know about the painful side of Grace, right Faith? You were protecting her every time. I can feel how precious Grace is to you. I envy you, girl.” Adam pulled out a painful smile, thinking about Faith and how little he knew about the person he had chosen to spend his life with.

Adam closed the diary with reluctance, as if he were leaving behind a cherished world. He glanced at the clock and realized it was dinner time. As he was lost in his thoughts, a soft knock echoed through the room, pulling him to reality.

Startled, he looked towards the door, and there she was, Grace… Adam
