Adam leaned back in his chair, eyeing Adriel intently. “I need you to dig into Carter Glynn’s past, Adriel. I want the details on my desk before evening.”

Adriel nodded, confusion etched on his face. “Consider it done, Boss.” He turned on his heels and left Adam’s cabin, the door closing with a soft click.

Adam sighed, loosening his attire before leaning comfortably on the chair. It wasn’t hard for Adam to console Grace but he was scared of leaving her all alone in the house since she would try anything as her mental health was like that and the fresh memories of her hurting herself haunt him as well. At the same time, he wanted to know about that Carter guy.

He believed in her since she made a promise that she wouldn’t hurt herself that night and he was grateful for that.

Adriel tried his best to collect information about Carter with his source. And reading those details, Adriel couldn’t help but worry that Adam would lose his cool if he saw the file.
