Chapter 19. Hive

The thudding, unsteady sound was coming from the cryo bays they had just walked past. With curiosity in their eyes, they started walking back. They needed to see for themselves what they were really up against.

Becky drew out her dagger. She had no trust for these creatures, especially given what had happened lately, which prompted her to hate them. With the dagger slightly raised, she slowly walked right behind Jimmy.

Upon reaching the cryo bays, the entire place was covered in smoke. “What the hell!” Jimmy cried out. He could barely see a thing. All he could hear was the continuous thudding sound.

“Can you see a thing?” Becky whispered from behind.

“Hell no!” Jimmy glanced over his shoulder. Switching back his gaze, he focused on the smoke, trying to figure out the cause.

As the smoke went up, it triggered the fire alarm. There came a loud, continuous beeping sound.
