She showed no respect and questioned them directly. She regarded them not as guests but as enemies. Kattie had a strained relationship with her parents, Beta Alexander and Luna Maria, who were well aware of her connection with Jasper but had sided with Viktor in his attempt to kill him for their own gain. This had left Kattie deeply disappointed. Whenever she met her father, she maintained an indifferent attitude, and with her mother, she never spoke. She hadn’t visited her mother for ten years since then.
She made her contempt clear, refusing to entertain them and saying coldly, “I don’t want to entertain you. Please leave.”
Her father, seeing her dismissive attitude and eager to save face in front of Jasper, spoke up, “Wait, I heard Jasper had returned, so I wanted to see how he’s doing.”
“As you can see,” Kattie said, stepping aside to make sure they could see Jasper.
“Now, can you leave?”
Her mother, who had been silent since arriving, finally spoke
