She showed no respect and questioned them directly. She regarded them not as guests but as enemies. Kattie had a strained relationship with her parents, Beta Alexander and Luna Maria, who were well aware of her connection with Jasper but had sided with Viktor in his attempt to kill him for their own gain. This had left Kattie deeply disappointed. Whenever she met her father, she maintained an indifferent attitude, and with her mother, she never spoke.
