Chapter 29. Harry and Larry

Celeste’s POV

I was woken by the shifting of feet down the stone staircase. A small patch of light illuminated the distance as the door had remained open at the top of the stairs. Blinking, I decided on my plan. This was most likely Savannah coming down again to torment me, I could knock her to her feet and escape up the staircase and out the door. That would teach her to leave it open.

“Celeste,”

The whisper of the deep voice in the dimly lit room caught my attention, well it definitely wasn’t Savannah this time.

My eyes adjusted as the room was illuminated brighter when Nathaniel turned the light on.

“What the fuck!” He cried, nearly jumping out of skin at the sight which had disturbed me originally. His eyes focused on the two decomposing bodies and the ritual like symbols on the ground.

“I named them,” I replied “Harry and Larry,” I referred to the bodies “I can’t say they’re much company, not very talkative,” at least through all this
