Alex POV

The morning sun filtered through the curtains in my bedroom. I was still half-asleep when I caught a faint scent that belonged to my mother. A second later, the door was thrown open so hard that it crashed against the wall.

“Alexander!”

My mother’s furious voice echoed through the room. I groaned mentally, knowing what it was about. Of course, Amber tattled.
