Elsie POV

My eyes widened in shock, the gun trembling in my hand.

My heart hammered against my ribs. I tried to close the door but he stuck his leg in. He pushed the door back and forced himself in.

“How did you find me?”

He looked around in disgust. His tall, broad frame made the room even smaller than it already was.

“I have my ways,” he replied.

“You shouldn’t be here, Alex”

He nodded in agreement. “You are right. I’m leaving and you’re coming with me. I can’t let you spend a night in this shithole”

“I’m not leaving,” I replied stubbornly.

He closed the distance between us and grabbed my wrist, dragging me out of the room. I resisted but I had lost too much blood and didn’t have much strength left.
